The US EPA finalized the Industrial Boiler MACT in February of 2013. The rule applies to high emitting boilers and incinerators, and sets emission limits for mercury, non-mercury metals, particulate matter, and acid gases. Major source and affected area source boilers have three years to comply and can be granted a fourth year if needed to install controls.
